VISITOR INFORMATION

GETTING HERE

The prologue plays in your web browser at play.permanentexhibit.com. There's nothing to download or install, and no account to make.

ADMISSION

The prologue is free to play.

PHONES AND TABLETS

Welcome. The prologue runs on phones and tablets as well as computers. Turn your phone sideways for the best view.

GETTING ABOUT
  • Tap or click the floor to walk there.
  • Tap or click a thing to walk over and use it. With a mouse, point at things to see their names.
  • Tap a portrait at the bottom of the screen to switch between Dex and Mara.
  • Tap something you're carrying, then a thing or a person, to use it on them. Using it on the other crew member hands it over.
  • Tap to skip a line of speech. SKIP skips a scene.
  • MENU (or Esc) saves, loads and changes the options.
WHAT'S ON

Three rooms of the flagship SUPERIOR: the hangar deck, the officers' mess and the bridge. Two caretakers, Dex and Mara. One tour robot. One keycard that needs handing over.

HOW LONG

About 20 to 30 minutes. Longer if you read every sign, which the museum recommends.

SAVING

Your progress saves in this browser, on this device. Come back any time and pick CONTINUE. Clearing your browser's data clears the museum too.

SOUND

The prologue has music and sound effects, and they start with your first tap or click. The music is slightly out of tune. That's on purpose.
