WHAT THIS IS

Superior Tactics: Permanent Exhibit is a point-and-click adventure game, in development at Tiny Machines Workshop. The museum on this website is made up, and so is everyone in it. The game is real.

WHY WE'RE MAKING IT

It's a love letter to the adventure games of the late 1980s and early 1990s: chunky pixels, characters who walk a little stiffly, music that's slightly out of tune, and a joke waiting behind everything you click on. We loved those games. We wanted to make one of our own, not a copy of one.

It's set in the Superior Tactics universe, after the war, aboard a fleet that has nothing left to do but be looked at.

WHAT YOU CAN PLAY NOW

The prologue: three rooms of the flagship, the hangar deck, the officers' mess and the bridge. Tap to walk, tap to use. Two crew, a keycard that needs handing over, and a robot docent with opinions. It runs in your browser, on phones and tablets too, and it's free.

WHAT'S NEXT

The full game: one long night aboard a fleet of museum ships, with an auditor who wants it all open by nine. There are six caretakers. You pick three to open the museum, and the other three keep the auditor busy. We're building it now.
